IUSF spends the night in Colombo!

The Sri Lanka Police has issued a notice to drivers traveling on the Galle road due to high sea waves under the prevailing severe weather conditions.
Galle road from Ambalangoda Madampe Usmudalawa Junction to Dehiwala has been closed due to sea waves coming ashore. In Dehiwala, Ambalangoda Galle, and many other areas, due to sea waves coming ashore, traffic has been severely disrupted.
police have further informed that the drivers traveling on the respective roads should use alternative routes.
The Department of Meteorology has issued a red notice.
According to the announcement, this warning has been issued in relation to the sea areas from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
Due to the activation of the southwest monsoon, the wind speed in those sea areas may increase to 60 to 70 kilometers per hour from time to time, according to the announcement.
As a result, the concerned sea areas will be rough to very rough, the Department of Meteorology has stated in its announcement.
Also, in the above-mentioned areas, there is a possibility that the sea waves will rise up to 2.5 or 3.5 meters.
