46 bodies were found in an abandoned truck!

The bodies of 46 people have been found in an abandoned truck near the city of San Antonio in the US state of Texas. According to foreign media reports, the survivors are suffering from severe heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

The city of San Antonio, about 250 kilometers (150 miles) from the U.S.-Mexico border, is a major transit point for human traffickers. Human traffickers often use trucks to transport these migrants across the border from faraway places once they reach the United States.

An investigation officer has informed the foreign media that the vehicle which was abandoned by the driver did not have an active air conditioner and there was no drinking water inside it. San Antonio’s climate is warmer during the summer months, with temperatures hovering around 39.4 degrees Fahrenheit [39.4 (C] by Monday, and victims are expected to die from extreme heat, fatigue, and dehydration.

Mexico’s Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrad said two Guatemalans were among those hospitalized. Others have said their nationalities are not yet clear. Three people are in custody in connection with the incident and the investigation has been handed over to federal agents.

BA.5 New Covid virus growth rises rapidly!

BA.4 and BA.5 have their own unique mutations that can alter the ability of viral spike proteins to attach to host cells and bypass certain immune responses, including changes called L452R and F486V.

A pre-May edition found that BA.4 and BA.5 previously shared an origin with the Omicron strain.

Scientists in South Africa first identified it in April and later linked it to an increase in cases, with BA.4 and BA.5 being the latest members of the growing coronavirus subspecies in Omicron. They have been identified in dozens of countries around the world.

The BA.4 and BA.5 subtypes are on the rise globally because they can spread faster than other circulating varieties – most likely BA.2, which led to an increase in cases at the beginning of the year. But so far, the latest Omicron strains seem to cause fewer deaths and hospitalizations than their older siblings – a sign that a growing population is becoming less immune to the immediate effects of increased COVID-19 immunity.

Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Head of the Department of Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayewardenepura says that this has been named BA.5 and no new strains of the virus have been identified in the country.

Scientist Chandima Jeewandara says that this new world has now been reported from 63 countries and that Covid 19 has expanded beyond the leading community.

The country will be completely going to the shutdown?

A senior official of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC)’s trade union has recently stated that there are only 1,100 tons of petrol and 7,500 tons of diesel left in Sri Lanka, which is not even enough to supply fuel per day, the Daily Mirror reports.

While Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera was assuring the public last week that a fuel tanker would arrive, he finally stated that it would be difficult to say when a ship would return.
However, Minister Wijesekera said last week that the expected stock of petrol on June 23 was a day late. Sri Lanka has been badly documented by international companies due to payments default and companies now require international bank guarantees for new orders.
Sources from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said that no oil tanker had arrived in Sri Lanka last week due to Sri Lanka’s failure to make the required payments and provide international bank guarantees.

If the crisis does not result in the shipment of the new fuel, the country will be completely going to the shutdown this week. Minister Wijesekera’s statement that the token system for providing fuel to the public will also be useless as the existing small stocks of fuel are being used for essential services.

Sources say that transportation has already been disrupted and a long power cut will be in effect soon due to the failure to supply fuel to the power plants.
