Zimbabwe 154 (41.3 ov)

Sri Lanka 155/2 (24.3 ov)

Sri Lanka have successfully hunt down the total and won the contest by eight wickets and won this match comfortably. It was expected, really.

With only a target of 155 to chase down, and with the quality of the batsmen in their ranks, you would always tip the Islanders to clinch it. Dhanajaya de Silva was the man who lead the charge. He started things off with Kusal Perera with a 56-run stand and then, when Dickwella came into bat, the pair just kept on going. Niroshan just missed out on a fifty while de Silva remained unbeaten on 78. An 84 partnership was stitched between these two.

Dhananjaya De Silva is the Man of the Match.  He said, “The ball was moving around in the first 5-6 overs. Adds he enjoyed batting with Kusal Perera and Niroshan Dickwella”.

Zimbabwe Captain Graeme Cremer admitted that it was not a 150 wicket and they should have taken the total at least till 200.
