America Is In A Better, Stronger Place – Obama

Outgoing US President Barack Obama said in his farewell speech in Chicago on Tuesday night to the nation to decry discrimination, attack the current wave of negativism in society and to tell people to “get engaged in politics.

He stated that the United States has become today ‘s “better and stronger” than it was when he came to power eight years ago. Obama said in a speech to the nation is his last before handing over power next week to Donald Trump, said that the democratic challenge means “Either we all rise or fall all of us”, calling on Americans to unite “Whatever the differences.”

The outgoing president at the same time acknowledged that racism is still “divisive factor” in American society.  He also stressed the achievements made during his two terms.

 In Chicago, the city where his biography professional fee and become a political stronghold, Obama amended in his farewell speech’s slogan for his campaign eight years ago, of “Yes we can” to “Yes we did.”
